First Meetup of GDG Cagayan de Oro City

January 26, 2013, the day when Lady Chelle Gray of house Google, Inc. flew from metropolis Manila to summon and unite the ladies and gentlemen, young and seasoned wildcard, warriors and barbarian developers in one of the southern cities of the Philippines, the city known in bloom, blossom and in boom, Cagayan de Oro.
A new iron born Google Developers Group(GDG) chapter has started its journey. A journey would then fill-in the long awaited local developer community. So many had waited for Google, and the time has finally arrive. It was welcomed with smiles, joy and filled with so much interest. A full house venue evidently proved Cagayan de Oro is no less, capable to grow the community even bigger and extend the reach of its realm to its neighbor cities. It has been and will always will be.
Our very own and proudly kagay-anon Josan of House Aestrea, the First of her Name, Queen of Debugging, Lady Regnant of NoSQL Databases, User of Macs, Repo Maker of GitHub, Organizer of Events, was on that day, officially appointed as lead community manager along with his co-community manager Paul Labis. Paul is no less a humble developer locally, a start-up founder and a member of CDO-ITG organizing group which is comprised mostly of seasoned developers in the city. He is trolled as they're fearless leader... :p
